Slow Food Aylsham, founded in 2004, is a membership organisation, a branch of the international Slow Food movement. We organise and are involved in a number of events for the community and our members throughout the year.

Aylsham Food Festival is our showcase event, held end-September, beginning-October. It includes Aylsham Country Market, a Gala dinner at the local High School, prepared and served by students, Aylsham Farmers’ Market, plus Saturday activities in the Town Hall and Market Place which have in the past featured cooking theatres with top Norfolk chefs plus lighthearted entertainment with a foodie theme. The weekend ends with the ‘Big Slow Brunch’ in the Town Hall on Sunday morning..

During the year we run events for our members which have included visits to local businesses like Letheringsett Mill, Papworth Farm, Woodfordes Brewery and Nortons’ Dairy.
