2012 Food Festival dates announced

Slow Food Aylsham has announced the dates of the 2012 Aylsham Food Festival: Friday 5th to Sunday 7th October.  The Festival will again be run in association with Norfolk Food Festival.

 

The exact programme for the Festival has yet to be finalised but it is expected to open with Aylsham Country Market on Friday morning with the traditional launch dinner at Aylsham High School on Friday evening.  Saturday will see Aylsham Farmers’ Market, a local producers’ event in the Town Hall and a series of cooking workshops for youngsters at the High School.  The Festival wouldn’t be the Festival without the Big Slow Breakfast and this will again take place in the Town Hall on Sunday morning.

 

Slow Food Aylsham is extremely grateful for the support it received for the 2011 Festival from Broadland District Council, Aylsham High school, J B Postle, Pierrot Photographic Services, The National Trust, Just Aylsham, Barnwells and Salad Days.

Foodie heaven at 2011 Aylsham Food Festival

From the indulgent luxury of a croquembouche to the all-time favourite 'full-English' breakfast, this year's Aylsham Food Festival had everything a true foodie could desire.  A celebration of local food, its producers and associated businesses, the Festival - now in its sixth year - was another impressive success for its organisers, Slow Food Aylsham.

 

From the Aylsham Country Market on the opening Friday morning, through to the Big Slow Breakfast on Sunday, the lively weekend saw a large number of people enjoying the Festival.  A gallery of photos can be viewed here.
