Sizzling rolls top choice on scorching family day

Business is brisk at the Slow Food Café.

Families and community groups braved the scorching heat on the longest day to turn out for the annual Family Learning Day (pictured above).

Held at Aylsham High School on Saturday 21 June, the event offers a variety of science, sport and craft activities including a chance to meet mini donkeys.

Slow Food ran its customary café and did brisk business throughout the day. Despite the heat, top sellers remained the hot sausage rolls and bacon rolls.

The day is aimed at providing opportunities for working or playing together and for family members to develop a greater awareness of the school environment and what their child is learning.

However, the heat finally got too hot for the donkeys who had to return home.

We thank the following Rotary members, without their help it would have been a difficult day:
Ian Stevenson, Les Chant and Vinnie Chant, Lynne Dunham, Jonathan Rackham, Andy Mitchell.

All organised by Fiona Chant Rotary secretary and Families Trust member.
